Conditions We Treat

At Bloom Physical Therapy, we strive to treat the whole person, not just the condition. We specialize in treating the vestibular and neurological disorders listed below.  We understand that people living with vestibular and neurological disorders often meet with multiple health care providers and undergo extensive testing before receiving a diagnosis. Our goal is to ease this process and provide evidenced based, collaborative, and patient centered care in the comfort and convenience of your own home.

Vestibular Disorders

Vestibular disorders often lead to symptoms of vertigo, dizziness, or imbalance.

Common vestibular disorders that we treat include but are not limited to: BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis, vestibular migraine, PPPD (persistent postural perceptual dizziness), and central dizziness after brain injury.

Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson's Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease. However, exercise is medicine, and can help you regain function.

Balance & Fall Prevention

Your balance may be affected by a number of vestibular, neurological, or orthopedic issues. No matter the cause, we can help you improve your balance and reduce your risk for falls.

Functional Neurological Disorders

FND describes neurological symptoms like limb weakness, tremor, numbness, or dizziness (among others) caused by a problem with the functioning of the nervous system. FND is like a software issue of the brain and nervous system, which means that there is hope for recovery.

Pulmonary Conditions

Conditions that impair breathing (like COPD) can significantly affect your ability to do everyday activities. Physical therapy can help improve your breathing capacity and improve quality of life.

Neurological Disorders

We work with highly motivated individuals with neurological disorders (such as stroke (CVA), concussion, dystonia, Multiple Sclerosis) to reach their goals and maximize their independence.

Treatment Pathway

  • Initial Evaluation

The first step is an initial evaluation. During the initial evaluation, your therapist will review your medical history and symptoms, perform assessments to get a better understanding of where you’re at, and discuss your goals for physical therapy. Your therapist will then work with you to develop a plan of care.

  • Treatment Program

A treatment session is any session that occurs after the initial evaluation. Treatment programs vary based on the individual. We work together to develop a treatment program that will help you feel empowered and reach your goals.
